TECHNICAL INFORMATIONS

WHEN TO EAT THE BREAKFAST BAR

Eat the bar instead of breakfast, 1h30 before your endurance effort, whatever it is: running, trail running, cycling, and so on.If your training or competition is happening mid-afternoon, feel free to eat the bar as a snack.

RECIPE CREATED BY A NUTRITIONIST

To meet the needs of athletes and sportspeople, the recipe has been developed with a nutritionist. The result is 2 bars contain everything you need to avoid getting tired during endurance exercises. Bonus: We wanted to combine efficiency and natural ingredients. Our bar contains only a few ingredients, to maximise performance.

A MORE EASILY DIGESTIBLE SMALL LUNCH BAR

Digestion is important during endurance exercise, especially for your comfort. The texture of our bar is dense, making it easy to digest. Let us explain why. When you chew, you produce saliva. Saliva compacts food, and contains enzymes that help in the digestion process. In our recipe, we also added freeze-dried pineapples which also contains enzymes.

QUICK TOUR OF THE SUPPLY CHAIN

Our breakfast bar is made in Spain. As for the raw materials, we selected supplies that seemed to us the most reasonable solutions given the production locations.

WHAT ARE ALL THESE INGREDIENTS FOR?

- Honey, gluten-free oat flakes and rice syrup for energy.
- Pea protein for the protein content
- Cocoa and chocolate chips for the taste.
(chocolate version)
- Almonds for their delicious taste and their rich supply of proteins and healthy fats
- Freeze-dried pineapple to aid digestion
- Magnesium, along with vitamins B6 and B12, to help combat fatigue.- Vitamin C, an antioxidant and vitamin B1, that helps metabolise energy normally.

THE IMPORTANCE OF CHEWING

Admit it: On the morning of the race, eating can feel more like a chore than a real pleasure (thank you, stress!) Well, bear in mind that the breakfast bar is not as flexible as a fruit jelly, although it is easy to chew. The pea protein (which is slightly crunchy) not only opens up the appetite but also triggers the chewing motion which activates the digestive enzymes and the associated digestive process.

THE CHALLENGE BAR: A CHALLENGE IN TERMS OF DESIGN

We have to admit, there were many tests… But that's what is needed to reach perfection, don't you think? ;)
Indeed, the numerous technical constraints is what gave rise to the format of the breakfast bar: 40 g rather than 80 g, so 2 bars for a full breakfast.
In short, I'm sure you've realised that this bar is "the challenge bar," as it is described by Juliette, product engineer. A challenge that has been taken up with flying colours? That's for you to say!
